Growing Instructions:
Soil: Use a potting mix specifically designed for cacti and succulents. Good drainage is crucial!
Light:
- Indoors: Place your succulents in a bright spot where they will receive at least four hours of bright light each day.
- Outdoors: Choose a location with bright, filtered light. Too much direct sun could cause sunburn. If the leaves turn pale, it means they are getting too much sun.
Watering: Most succulents need to be watered every one to two weeks. The soil should not dry out completely between waterings, but be careful not to overwater, as this could cause root rot. Stick your finger into the soil: if it's dry, water; if it's moist, wait a little longer. Water needs are higher from March to October. In fall and winter, most succulents go into a resting period and require very little water (about once a month).
Fertilization: If necessary, fertilize only during the active growing season (March to October).
Drainage: Never let the pots sit in saucers filled with water.
Selection may vary by location.
